IBMG - Specialisms

IBMG is the largest building materials distributor in the South of England, formed through more than 20 acquisitions made since the start of 2018. IBMG wanted to launch a Tool Hire offering in October 2021 across 6 select branches for three of their sub brands (Parker, Chandlers & Fairalls). They required a visual style that would sit within stores and would be aimed at existing small trade customers who could pick up tool hire at the same time as their materials.

The Toolhire identity went down so well that IBMG requested the identity be rolled out across each of the individual brands. All of them have their own unique set of skills and specialisms which they wanted to highlight. The bright and diverse colour palette was chosen to reflect the range of specialisms on offer, used with imagery interacting with bold typography. The strapline, ‘We’ve got it all covered’, reflects the brand’s purpose, making it known that they have a range of specialisms, saving consumers time and hassle and get their needs met all under one roof. The intent of this design is to engage and inform the audience on the specialisms, in a way that can be used individually or as a group.
